Since Apple's new product, the Apple AirTag, was announced, Apple lovers everywhere have been patiently awaiting its release on April 30, 2021 (maybe not so patiently). With the excitement surrounding the product's affordable cost, the many practical ways to get started with an Apple AirTag, and the technology behind the product, customers are going to be eager to set up their new, cute piece of tiny tech as soon as they receive them.

One of Apple's biggest marketing points behind the Apple AirTag, was its easy, "one-tap setup." Apple's one-tap setup isn't exactly one-tap, it's still incredibly simple and straightforward. With about three quick taps, your AirTag can be set up and ready to help you keep track of the thing you are infamous for losing whether it's your keys, purse, or wallet.

To begin setting up your AirTag, bring the products close to each other. Your iPhone will do most of the work for you by recognizing your Apple AirTag. To complete the setup follow these quick steps :

A screen will pop up with a "connect" button.
To finish setup, tap "connect." It's that easy.

However, Apple's one-tap setup comes with a few additional steps to register, name, and attach your Apple AirTag.

You will be asked to name your AirTag and may need to sign in to your Apple ID for verification purposes and to register your AirTag to your Apple ID. To name your AirTag, after tapping connect, select from one of the following options:

Backpack
Bike
Camera
Handbag
Headphones
Jacket
Keys
Luggage
Wallet
Custom Name

After naming, you can decide to assign an emoji to your AirTag!

Attach your AirTag loop of choice to your Apple AirTag and hang it from your keys, luggage, purse, bike, or another personal item. Once your AirTag is connected, you continue on living your life, and when you can't find one of your personal items, use your AirTag with Find My to find it!

Easy right? Maybe the setup process isn't necessarily one-tap, but three taps to connect, name, and assign an emoji is about as easy as it gets.
