Factory resetting your Frontier router will completely remove any custom settings you have. This includes things like your WiFi password and network name. Resetting can be a useful troubleshooting step, but the effects are permanent. Be sure you're ready before resetting your device.

This guide will work for Frontier Internet and Frontier FiOS routers and modems.

The factory reset button is typically found on the back of the router. Look for a small button on the back panel.

To initiate a factory reset, press and hold the button for at least 10 seconds. You may need to use a pen to push the button all the way in.

When the front panel lights turn off, the factory reset has been initiated.

Wait a few minutes for the reset to complete—the reset is done when the Power light turns on.
