Factory resetting your Frontier router will completely remove any custom settings you have. This includes things like your WiFi password and network name. Resetting can be a useful troubleshooting step, but the effects are permanent. Be sure you're ready before resetting your device.

This guide will work for Frontier Internet and Frontier FiOS routers and modems.

1

The factory reset button is typically found on the back of the router. Look for a small button on the back panel.

2

To initiate a factory reset, press and hold the button for at least 10 seconds. You may need to use a pen to push the button all the way in.

When the front panel lights turn off, the factory reset has been initiated.

3

Wait a few minutes for the reset to complete—the reset is done when the Power light turns on.
