How To Install Add-Ons in Google Slides

Google Slides is the perfect alternative to Microsoft’s PowerPoint. Google Slides allows for all your ideas to shine with a variety of presentation themes, fonts, embedded video, animations, and more. However, there might be integrations or tools that are missed from its alternatives. With the Google Workspace Marketplace, which provides free or paid add-ons, you can expand what you can do in Google Slides! This guide will show you how to use the Google Workspace Marketplace and install an add-on to Google Slides.

Click the Add-ons drop-down menu, as shown in the image above. Click Get add-ons from the drop-down list. A new window will appear on the page with the Google Workspace Marketplace.

Search with keywords for the add-on you need. Once you’ve found an add-on, move onto the next step.

When ready, hit the Install button and click continue on the pop-up that appears.

Make sure to choose the Google account that is associated with the slideshow you’re working on.

This window will explain and list all the permissions and access that you’re giving the add-on. When you’re comfortable and ready, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Allow. You should now see a confirmation message similar to “Icons for Slides & Docs has been installed!”

Return to Google Slides and, if needed, refresh the page, so you see the add-on listed in the add-on menu as shown in the image above. This menu will show all add-ons you have installed!
