Go to www.oculus.com/setup and scroll down until you see the
Download Software button beneath the “Air Link and Link Cable” header. Click the button and download the .exe file.
Once it’s finished downloading onto your computer, open the Oculus Setup file. You’ll be brought through the typical first-time setup that most programs have; such as reviewing terms and conditions, where to install the app, etc.
Airlink is the built-in connector between the PC and the Quest 2. In order to activate Airlink, follow these steps:
- Open “Quick Settings” from the toolbar, then click “Settings” on the top right.
- Go to “Experimental”
- Checkmark “Airlink”
- Hit “Continue”
To activate and open Airlink, go to Quick Settings and click the “Oculus Airlink” button. Then choose to pair with your PC from the list provided.
A code will appear on the Oculus Quest 2 headset. Compare this code to the one that pops up in the Oculus app. If they match, click "Confirm".
Your headset will go dark for a few seconds, but a new setup will appear on your Quest 2. This is reminiscent of the Oculus Rift 2’s home UI.
You’re now ready to begin playing! Open up a game on the Oculus Quest 2, and it will mirror onto your PC monitor!
You’ll also be able to browse your computer and view your own files in VR!
Whether you want to include those around you or plan to record gameplay for content, being able to connect your Oculus Quest 2 to a computer is important.
