Someone Created a Life-Size Super Mario Bros Augmented Reality Game and Played It in Central Park

Zach Zach (249)

Someone recreated the iconic first level of Super Mario Bros as a fully-playable, life-size augmented reality (AR) game in Central Park. The results are astounding.

Programmer Abhishek recreated World 1-1 using Unity3D and Fusion360 to run on the Microsoft HoloLens.

Though he couldn't climb down any pipes to underground portions of the level, perhaps in the future he could add this functionality with the help of virtual reality. ;)
