Nintendo is just coming off their high from the Switch update that enables Bluetooth audio devices, and they’re riding that wave. The latest Nintendo Direct was filled with games old and new to have anyone excited. However, there was one announcement in particular that had everyone talking.

Gamers from the ‘80s and ‘90s can finally rejoice because both N64 and SEGA Genesis games are coming to the Switch! Both systems gave many players their first 3D game experience, so get your wallets ready!

The caveat is that they’ll both be part of an Expansion Pack for the Nintendo Switch Online membership. Currently, Nintendo hasn’t released pricing information, membership benefits, or a specific launch date. Yoshiaki Koizumi, Deputy General Manager of the company's Entertainment Planning and Development division, states the Expansion Pack is set to launch in late October.

Earlier this month, Nintendo filed a product application to the FCC for a game controller with a request for confidentiality. Yet, this Tuesday they made a new filing for “short-term confidential” leading many to believe in an upcoming release of a Nintendo 64 (N64) controller for the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo officially announced they will also be releasing wireless controllers from the consoles to ensure games can be played with their original controls. All Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will be able to purchase the Nintendo 64 or SEGA Genesis controllers for $49.99 upon release date.
