Factory resetting your Nintendo Switch will completely wipe all of its current settings. Your profile, games—everything will be gone. This is perfect if you're planning on selling your Switch. But if you're troubleshooting, be sure to back-up anything important before you reset to factory defaults!
Under Formatting Options select Initialize Console. This menu is for initiating the reset.
The reset may take a few minutes to complete. Keep an eye on the console and make sure all of your settings are completely removed when it's finished.
If you're selling your iPhone or just want to start over fresh, you may want to factory reset it. Factory resetting your phone will completely wipe the device.
