How To Attach a Glasses Spacer to the Oculus Quest 2

The Oculus Quest 2 can be one of the most inclusive gaming experiences. Not only are there documentaries about social issues available for free on the Oculus store, but it’s not just for those with 20/20 vision!

Disclaimer: This glasses spacer does come included, however, it only works with glasses under 50 mm height. For example, I tried wearing my rectangular reading glasses and couldn’t get the headset on. My fiancé tried it with his pair, and they just barely fit. You can purchase lens inserts for the Oculus Quest 2 or buy simple prescription glasses (which is usually cheaper).

This guide will help you attach the glasses spacer to the Oculus Quest 2!

Removing the interface may seem like you’re going to break the Quest 2, but we promise that won’t happen. The first time you take the interface off, it might need a good tug to unsnap.

The glasses spacer comes included with the Quest 2, but you might have also bought it separately or have the attachable prescription lens. Now is the time to snap them into place.

As shown in the picture, line up the spacer’s edges with the matching headset. Press it firmly into place, you’ll hear a click when it’s connected securely.

Just as before, align the facial interface up with the grooves of the headset and spacer. Press in firmly until it’s securely in place.

That’s it! You’re all ready to play in VR.
