Download the Blockchain app from the app store

Open the App Store, find the Blockchain app, and download it.

Click “Create a Wallet”

Open the app, and click “Create Wallet”.

Create your account

Next, add your email and a unique password.

It’s preferable to generate your unique password using a password manager that will save it for you as well. In any case, ensure your password is stored securely.

Verify your email address

Before you can use your wallet you have to confirm your email address. Find the confirmation email and click to confirm.

Using your wallet

You will be prompted to create a pin and optionally enable fingerprint authentication. This is helpful if you plan to use the wallet frequently and do not plan on storing much crypto currency in this wallet.

All of the wallet functionality is available via the menu at the bottom of the app. The most important feature, of course, is receiving Bitcoin. So click “Request” to find your wallet address.

Feel free to send a tip to the address you see in the image :)

This guide teaches you how to run a Bitcoin full node, which is not the same as mining. You won't earn bitcoins by running a full node.
