Clay can be a real pain to dig in. Whether its footers for a backyard deck or simply potted plants, this is a great way to make it easier.
1 – Mark your hole
2 – Remove the top layer of clay from the marked area

3 – Drill small holes throughout the marked area

Drill as deep as you possibly can.
4 – Fill the hole with water

5 – Wait around 3 hours
This will vary based on the specific soil.
6 – Dig away

If the soil is still hard, add water and more time.
